What is the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust?

A Supporters’ Trust is a formal, democratic, non-profit organisation run by fans for fans. The purpose of a Trust is to help fans to join together and strengthen their influence over the way their club is run, and to improve the links between their club and the community it serves.

In a way, we’re like a union, believing that many voices are stronger than one and that the best way to influence the club is to represent many fans, not just ourselves.

You may be familiar with the Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF).  It is our national equivalent; taking forward campaigns that affect all fans of all clubs. We will work with both the FSF and Supporters Direct (SD) on a number of campaigns over the coming seasons.

Board members are elected annually, and anyone who is a paid member of the Trust can stand for election. Trust Board members are fans, the same as any of you and are not paid by or recompensed in any other way by THFC. Or anyone else for that matter!

We also have a number of Working Groups who help on specific projects and we're always keen to have new members for these. However much or little time you have and whatever skills you can offer, we can find a use for you, so please don’t be shy.

What we do

THST is committed to undertaking a number of actions including:
  • Representing Spurs fans to the club, media and national football authorities
  • Meeting three times each year with the Board of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club to discuss the key issues affecting Spurs fans
  • Surveying supporters for opinions on topics relating to both Spurs and football at a national level
  • Regular dialogue with relevant figures at THFC on a number of topics, including ticketing and fan safety
  • Working on community projects with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, as well as implementing our own projects, where appropriate
  • Holding social events where fans can get to know each other and meet explayers and well-known sports journalists
  • Working with the network of Supporters’ Trusts, the FSF and Supporters Direct on national campaigns around ticketing and Safe Standing, for example

Membership Options

We offer a number of different options for fans at different price levels.

The most basic level is Associate member, which is free. With this level you will get access to all communications sent out by the Trust via this website or social media. You'll also be welcome at all events and member meetings EXCEPT the AGM. Associate members cannot vote at an AGM or stand for election to the trust board.

The next level is Full membership. This is £10 per year, with a Concessionary rate of £5 per year for members aged under 18 and over 65. We'll communicate with you directly by email, ensuring you are always up to date with our work and we'll regularly ask for your views on key issues throughout the year. This is a more interactive level of membership and we'll encourage you to get as involved as you can in shaping the direction of the organisation. Full members will be invited to the AGM and have full voting rights, as well as the right to stand for election to the Trust board.

In 2014, THST introduced a membership tier which allows Official Spurs Supporters Clubs and their members a voice in the issues that affect their experience as fans. This cost for this is £25 and all individual members of the Supporters Club will gain access to the Trust as Associate Members (subject to consent).
