You've got to admire their BALLS: THST's Rob White talks to the man behind the new art exhibition at Warmington House

27/7/2021

Picture
If you’ve ever thought you don’t know much about art, but you know what you like, you might be interested in the OOF Gallery that has opened on the site of the old supporters’ club at Warmington House, next to our new stadium.

Trust Board member and photographer Rob White spoke to the gallery’s founder and curator, Justin Hammond, to find out a little bit more about the project at the first exhibition – pithily entitled BALLS – which promised “twisted, manipulated, deformed football sculptures” when it opened on 23 July.

THST response to Tracey Crouch’s interim findings on football

22/7/2021

Picture
The interim findings of the fan-led review into football, published yesterday in a letter from Tracey Crouch MP to Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden, are an encouraging start to a long-overdue process. THST is one of the fan organisations that has provided some of the 100 hours of oral evidence to the review, and our written submission is one of over 70 such supporting documents submitted to the review panel.

Understanding the ownership and corporate structure of Tottenham Hotspur

16/7/2021

Picture
In the aftermath of the ill-fated European Super League, the governance of football has come under the spotlight, most notably through the Government’s Fan-Led Review of football governance, to which THST has already submitted evidence. As part of our work, we have conducted a review of the legal structure of the Club.
Tottenham has a relatively complex set of arrangements (although comparable with those at Arsenal) and understanding how they work is important to inform discussions on future governance and ensuring fan influence.

THST survey results show fan feeling on return to stadiums

15/7/2021

Picture
After 18 months away and despite the continued presence of COVID-19, fans are confident about returning to full capacity stadiums, but worried about transport to and from the ground and split over mandatory testing to gain entrance.
The results come from our latest annual survey of fan opinion, this time completed by a record 8,358 people. The survey was open from 9 to 18 June 2021. With clubs and the football authorities currently discussing the return to stadiums, we thought it was timely to release figures on this important issue ahead of the full survey results being published at the start of August.

THST submits ideas for governance reform to the Government's fan-led review

13/7/2021

Picture
We have formally sent our submission on the reform of Club governance to the Government review being led by Tracey Crouch MP. The document sets out the context of the relationship between supporters and THFC, details how that has developed, and suggests how supporter representation could be improved without compromising the Club's ability to operate in the modern football business.

Former FA chair Lord Triesman backs THST governance proposals as mood for change grows

1/7/2021

Picture
Since we published our contribution to the conversation about change in the way our Club and the game in general is run, we’ve received a lot of support. The latest message backing our Fans and Football First campaign comes from Spurs fan and former chair of the FA, David Triesman, now Lord Triesman of Tottenham.

He says: “I support the statement and the message in the Dear Board film. It is a sensible way to move forward and while I know that club owners have not typically responded well to these kinds of ideas, they would be prudent to do so.
