![]() We have now received a reply from the Police Chief Inspector in Lancashire responsible for the policing of our FA Cup tie with Burnley on 5 January. That reply is reproduced below. ![]() Yesterday, we published a statement on the scheduling of the FA Cup 3rd round tie between Burnley and THFC. We promised to update fans once we had more information, and we are now doing so. We contacted the FA, asking if they had insisted the match went ahead on the 5 Jan, and also asking if they had refused to wait until after the result of the Yeovil v Accrington game before the date of our tie was confirmed. ![]() THST has been busy dealing with numerous cases arising from incidents at Chelsea away, Swansea City away and the Newcastle United League Cup quarter final. This is a brief update on that work. We'd like to thank all those supporters who contacted us with information. ![]() The scheduling of the FA Cup third round tie away at Burnley has, understandably, prompted protests from Spurs fans. Our supporters are faced with a long trip on the evening of, what will be for many, the first working day of the year. The last scheduled train leaves Burnley for London at half time. And those travelling by coach will need to find their own way back from White Hart Lane at 4am in the morning. ![]() Updates on: 1. Board to Board Meeting with THFC 2. THST Board Meeting 3. Media coverage 4. The Fighting Cock Podcast – membership drive 5. Other: OFCOM survey/ Premier League Fans Fund application/ Community update/ FA Cup allocations/ Expert groups/ Enterprise Challenge Panel/ Surfing flag/ THST AGM. ![]() Open letter to the FA regarding FA Cup away allocations and Cup final ticket distribution from Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust, Arsenal Supporters' Trust, Chelsea Supporters' Trust and Spirit of Shankly. ![]() At the last Police Safety Forum meeting in June, THST raised the issue of the reduced Manchester United allocation at White Hart Lane on behalf of our counterparts at MUST at their request. Various reasons have been given for this reduction, including persistent standing in an upper tier, poor behaviour at the turnstiles at the 2012/13 match and bad behaviour at not only White Hart Lane but other Premier League grounds throughout previous seasons. ![]() THST is in continued dialogue with THFC over the issue of ticket pricing. The Club recognises this is a growing concern and Chairman, Daniel Levy, has already raised the subject with the Premier League. We acknowledge that any meaningful initiative has to be across all clubs, but we are encouraged that THFC has kick-started the case for a new approach on pricing. |
