THST condemns as insulting and utterly inadequate the €20,000 fine imposed on Barcelona by UEFA as a result of events at our Champions League tie at the Nou Camp in December 2018. We are pleased our Club has also said it considers the response inadequate.

The ‘Yid’ debate
A fortnight further dominated by the Y Word issue, brought into the spotlight again following comments made by Chief Superintendent Mick Johnson, match day commander for the Spurs v West Ham game, on 3rd October.
THST has noted, with great sadness, the statement issued by the Metropolitan Police over the last 24 hours in relation to the new interpretation being applied to Section 5 of the 1986 Public Order Act, classifying the word ‘Yid’ as either ‘insulting’ or ‘racist’.
Firstly, it is important to stress that the vast majority of supporters attend football matches and go home having neither been arrested nor having had any real contact with the police (or stewards) so hopefully you’ll never need the advice in this article but nonetheless it is important that supporters are aware of their rights on arrest and know what to do in the event they wish to make complaint about how they’ve been treated.
Biggest win of the week was receiving confirmation from THFC of the reduced pricing for the FC Sheriff UEL home game and the Hull City League Cup match, following discussions over the past month to this affect.
