Spurs fans reveal dissatisfaction with Wembley ticketing and hopes for new stadium in THST survey9/8/2017
![]() Spurs fans have expressed significant dissatisfaction with the pricing and sales processes around season ticketing for the Club’s year at Wembley. And they have been putting forward their hopes for the new stadium. Almost two-thirds say price is the single most important factor that will influence their decision on renewing or purchasing tickets in the new ground, and fans also named the legends whose names they want to see included in the new stadium.
![]() Fans of Tottenham Hotspur expressed strong backing for the accessible pricing policies adopted by the Club last season – making the Club’s pricing decisions so far this summer all the more disappointing. And after the first season of the Premier League’s £30 away ticket price cap it’s clear there is broad support for the policy, and that it’s not the primary factor affecting demand for away tickets. Not surprisingly, fans welcome the reduced cost of something they are committed to. ![]() The biggest ever response to THST’s annual survey has revealed Spurs fans are happy with what’s happening on the pitch, but harbour some concerns about what’s happening off it. Over 3,200 fans took part in the survey to gauge fan opinion on a wide range of issues. The survey, which ran from 23 June to 9 July and is now in its fourth year, plays a major part in influencing how THST works over the coming season. ![]() With ticketing at Spurs such a hot topic, we were delighted to secure the most senior ticketing executive at THFC – Ian Murphy (IM) - as a guest speaker for our latest Members’ Meeting. This took place on Tuesday evening, 15 November, in the function room of the William Blake pub on Old Street. Around 50 Trust members took the opportunity to question Ian on ticketing specifics in person with several others sending questions in advance on email. THFC’s Head of Supporter Services, Jonathan Waite (JW), was also on hand to respond to any broader, customer service questions. The meeting was chaired by Trust co-chair Martin Cloake (MC) with fellow co-chair Kat Law (KL) explaining the Trust position on several issues during the discussions. It was a lively event and we’ve tried to include as much detail as possible in this report. ![]() Back in August, we canvassed Trust members for their input into the format of future THST Members' meetings and, having taken that feedback on board, we are now pleased to be able to confirm the details for our next session. This will take place from 7pm on Tuesday 15 November 2016 in the function room at the William Blake, 174-180 Old Street, London EC1V 9BP. ![]() Updates on:
![]() Spurs fans are largely satisfied with the match day atmosphere at White Hart Lane, and like the efforts made to boost visual displays of support with flags and banners. And there’s still very strong support for a safe standing area in the Club's new stadium. The latest Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust (THST) end-of-season survey, completed by more than 1,600 fans across June & July, shows that 70% were satisfied with the match-day atmosphere at White Hart Lane last term. ![]() Ticket prices for home games are still too high according to an overwhelming majority of fans surveyed by the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust. And, while the £30 away ticket price cap was widely welcomed, fans indicated late changes to fixture dates and kick off times were a major source of irritation, and the major influence on deciding whether to watch their team away. ![]() It wasn’t only performance on the field, but off it too, that Spurs fans were pleased about last season. The results of our annual survey show there’s a positive mood about the way the Club is communicating with fans and the way it’s being run, as well as widespread satisfaction with the football itself. ![]() Updates on:
