THST has kept a season-by-season record of the away application process since 2012, and that gives us a chance to analyse the trends. ![]() As part of the Twenty’s Plenty campaign, fans successful in getting tickets to the away Premier League game at Leicester City on 18 May 2017 will be able to claim up to £10 of the price of their match ticket back. The ground-breaking initiative is possible thanks to a partnership between Virgin Media and the Football Supporters’ Federation that subsidises the cost of all tickets down to £20 at a single away fixture for all Premier League clubs. ![]() Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Board to Board Meeting Minutes and Report Tuesday 28 February 2017 Tottenham Hotspur Football & Athletic Co Ltd, Lilywhite House, 6pm ![]() Updates on: New Spurs Stadium Away travel: Sunderland and Liverpool FA Cup pricing and sales mechanism Premier League Trusts Meeting with Supporters Direct TV fixtures and broadcast picks Home ballots and half season memberships Catering ![]() With ticketing at Spurs such a hot topic, we were delighted to secure the most senior ticketing executive at THFC – Ian Murphy (IM) - as a guest speaker for our latest Members’ Meeting. This took place on Tuesday evening, 15 November, in the function room of the William Blake pub on Old Street. Around 50 Trust members took the opportunity to question Ian on ticketing specifics in person with several others sending questions in advance on email. THFC’s Head of Supporter Services, Jonathan Waite (JW), was also on hand to respond to any broader, customer service questions. The meeting was chaired by Trust co-chair Martin Cloake (MC) with fellow co-chair Kat Law (KL) explaining the Trust position on several issues during the discussions. It was a lively event and we’ve tried to include as much detail as possible in this report. ![]() Before our latest meeting with the Spurs Board, we canvassed Trust members and the wider fan base for questions they wanted asked at that session. We were overwhelmed with a large number of detailed ticketing queries, which were better suited to a dedicated ticketing discussion than to the more strategic meeting of the two Boards. So, we spoke with senior THFC ticketing and supporter services staff separately to cover off as many queries as possible. Here’s what was discussed, which we hope you’ll find useful. ![]() The pricing announcement for the EFL Cup tie against Liverpool means that in both games we have played in this season’s competition, the cost of watching the match has increased for Spurs fans. For the past three seasons, THST has lobbied successfully for accessible pricing at cup games. At White Hart Lane, adult tickets have been sold for £25 or £20, with seniors paying £10 and juniors £5 in all areas of the ground. And those prices have applied to away fans too. ![]() Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Board to Board Meeting Minutes and Report Monday 19 September 2016 Tottenham Hotspur Football & Athletic Co Ltd, Lilywhite House, 6pm ![]() The Premier League's away ticket price cap of £30 has been a welcome development. But our aim, alongside other fan organisations and the Football Supporters' Federation, has always been to reduce the price of going to the game. And it seems clear there is still work to do in this area. For our opening game against Everton this Saturday, for example, those fans travelling by coach to Goodison Park will see the saving on their away ticket swallowed up by the increase on last season's coach fare. This is because the Premier League decided to replace the Away Supporters' Initiative, which many clubs used to subsidise coach travel, with the £30 price cap. Each club seems to be taking a different approach now, and THFC has indicated that while it will not be subsidising coach travel as it did last season, it will look at subsidised travel for those games that are impossible to travel to and from using public transport. The Club felt subsidising the relatively low number of fans using the coaches across the board was not fair. We have raised the point that it seemed to consider the move fair for the last three seasons. We have also been in touch with Thomas Cook Sport, who run the coaches our fans use to away games, and are club sponsors. ![]() Updates on:
![]() THST attended the first of what are intended to be twice-a-year meetings with the Premier League this week to discuss issues of concern to fans. The meetings are part of an initiative to improve communications between fans and the football authorities as a result of a government working group's recommendations. Fans from all 20 Premier League clubs attended, along with Premier League Chief Executive, Richard Scudamore, Head of Communications, Bill Bush and members of the Premier League Supporter Relations team. ![]() Ticket prices for home games are still too high according to an overwhelming majority of fans surveyed by the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust. And, while the £30 away ticket price cap was widely welcomed, fans indicated late changes to fixture dates and kick off times were a major source of irritation, and the major influence on deciding whether to watch their team away. ![]() Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Board to Board Meeting Minutes and Report Tuesday 24 May 2016 Tottenham Hotspur Football & Athletic Co Ltd, Lilywhite House, 6pm ![]() After an incredibly busy week we wanted to update members and fans on some significant developments. There was double good news for Spurs fans last week with two positive announcements on ticket pricing. First, the Club agreed to freeze the price of all home tickets for the third season running. This came after the announcement last year that prices would rise by around 2%. Second, Premier League clubs unanimously agreed to cap the price of away tickets at £30 for the next three years. This measure will save a Spurs fan who travels to every away game over a season £284 based on 2015/16 pricing. These are significant victories. |
