Some fans missed the first 15 minutes of the game after travelling from the Railway Tavern, Liverpool Street under police escort. We've spoken to the police and raised the issues we were made aware of. The police responded that they were concerned about a large group of fans leaving to travel to Upton Park together and felt they had to carefully monitor that group.
We're aware of the realities of policing games such as this, but we are also committed to increasing dialogue about how fans are policed and stewarded. More communication can only be beneficial to all parties, and we'd encourage fans to keep us informed of their experiences, good and bad, at games. We will continue to do our best to see that feedback is taken on board.
