Summary:
A busy start to the New Year for THST. We have updates on the following: Stop StubHub’ campaign, Safe Standing Survey, THST Board and Annual General Meeting, The ‘Y’ Word, The Antwerp Arms, Fan Behaviour, Ticketing – Arsenal FA Cup Allocation, Atmosphere at White Hart Lane, World Book Day, Roll of Honour Event

1. 'Stop StubHub' Campaign
A statement is due for release on 20/01/14, based on transactional data from the first six games of the season on the platform.
THST, The Fighting Cock, Total Tottenham, Tottenham on My Mind, Dear Mr Levy website, Martin Cloake and others have combined with the FSF to call for an end to secondary ticketing markets; and work towards establishing a league-wide ethical ticket exchange.

2.  Safe Standing Survey
The survey was issued on 06/01/14 and closes on 21/01/14 (more than 2,100 respondents at time of writing). Results will be presented to THFC in due course, and made public on THST website.

3. THST Board and Annual General Meeting
THST held its Q1 Board Meeting on 15/01/14. Full minutes can be viewed here:
/thst-updates/tottenham-hotspur-supporters-trust-board-meeting-minutes-15th-january-2014.aspx

The THST Annual General Meeting has been scheduled for 26/02/14. All Full (paid) members have been sent the Convening Notice and Nomination Forms. Associate Members have until 24/01/14 to upgrade to Full membership, should they wish to stand for election or vote. More details can be viewed in the AGM section of the website here: /thst-annual-general-meeting-26th-february-2014.aspx

4. The Y Word
THST is in touch with two of the fans currently on their third re-bail for using the Y Word at White Hart Lane. Both fans await a CPS decision on 21/01/14.
We’re also:
  • Awaiting the FOI response on the Community Impact Assessment report
  • Scheduling a meeting with Kick It Out regarding tackling anti-semitism
  • Following up on a meeting with the FA regarding anti-semitism
Joint Chairman, Darren Alexander, has assisted two students with their dissertations on the Y Word, also.

 5. The Antwerp Arms
THST supported the Tottenham pub, The Antwerp Arms, in securing Asset of Community Value status and continues to assist on a consultancy basis, promoting a survey to assess footfall and customer behaviour in the next week or two.

6. Fan Behaviour
THST was called to a meeting with THFC ahead of the Palace match where the Club aired their concern at what was considered anti-social behaviour at recent away matches.
THST agreed to share with supporters the repercussions should this continue but was clear it had no intention of parenting or policing fans.
A brief statement was posted on 13/01/14 and can be read in full here: /thst-updates/fan-behaviour-meeting-with-thfc.aspx

7. Ticketing - Arsenal FA Cup Allocation
Arsenal FA Cup 3rd Round: The FOI response from Islington Council’s Safety Advisory Group and The Metropolitan Police regarding Spurs allocation at this match was due on 15/01/14. So far, this has not been forthcoming and will be chased.

Dnipro pricing was pleasingly in line with the earlier Europa League Group Stage games this season.

8. Atmosphere at White Hart Lane
The Surfing Flag is on order and should arrive for City or Everton.

9. World Book Day
THST approached THFC for their support in the World Book Day event on the day of the Cardiff match. Every fan will be encouraged to bring a book to the game for a Haringey child. THFC will work with THST on this project. Various Haringey charities have been approached to participate also.

10. Roll of Honour Event
THST is looking to start a Supporters Roll of Honour for ex-players, along  the lines of THFC’s Hall of Fame.

We will look to host our first evening meet and greet and entry onto the Roll of Honour in Q2 2014.

Other:
THST also mediated a dispute between a season ticket holder and Paxton upper steward and is keeping a watching brief to ensure this is resolved.

THST also viewed the Hostel at the Bell and Hare after being approached to assist with publicity. Awaiting photos and will then share.
