Another media-heavy week for THST regarding the Y Word debate. From BT Sports ‘Life’s a Pitch’ to the front page of the Metro, via The Voice of Russia, communicating our stance on this complex, sensitive subject has been a priority, with more interviews scheduled for next week, also.
.
The use of the Y word in football:
THST’s position on the Y Word was articulated across web, print, radio and TV this week. We continue to listen to the views of all supporters both by email and telephone and encourage anyone who wants to discuss their thoughts and opinions to contact us on info@THSTOfficial.com initially.
Legal advice has also been offered pro bono to THST in light of the FA’s statement regarding prosecution for the use of the Y Word in a football environment.
For the foreseeable future, THST will consult with each Away club and the local Police to ascertain their position and policy around this matter with a view to safeguarding all Spurs fans using the Y word at Away matches.
Ticketing:
THST continued to press for 2012/2013 pricing for the remaining 2 home UEL Group Stage games, Anzhi and Sheriff, with an announcement due on Monday 23rd September.
THST also clarified the breakdown of the allocation of Tromso Away tickets, following contact from supporters via @THSTOfficial and email: 420 for Spurs supporters applying via THFC.
StubHub:
THST released a revised statement on the StubHub ticket resale facility, following our original statement in May. This can be read in full here:

Full details of a dedicated PayPal account will be posted asap and the banner can be viewed below:
Preliminary enquiries have been made regarding the possibility of hiring a boat from Tower Hill/ Embankment to Putney Pier for Fulham Away on Weds 4th December, also. To be expanded on next week.
Away Fans Experience:
Take up for the first subsidised THFC official coaches to a total of 14 Premier League away games this season was surprisingly good. Two full 77 seater coaches made the return trip from White Hart Lane to Cardiff City Stadium at a cost of £10 per adult, with Under 16’s travelling free when accompanied by an adult. This was an uplift of over 50%, with one 53 seater coach being used for the majority of last season.
Feedback from those travelling on the official coaches has also been positive with the quality of the coaches, choice of films and friendly stewarding being praised.
NB: The Premier League granted each Club £200,000 to encourage fans to attend away games this summer. THFC have selected to use their grant on subsidised coach travel to 14/19 Premier League away games throughout the 2013/2014 season.
Bookings can be made via Thomas Cook Sport.
