The Club has subsequently announced it is set to embark on a long-term ticketing review and during the meeting it was agreed that THST will play a full part in this process.
Our main areas of work with the Club are ticketing operations, fixture scheduling, policing and safety and matchday operations, so it is only right that we should be fully consulted and involved in such a process.
We welcome the Club’s introduction of a long-term strategy paper on ticketing in general, look forward to playing a part in this review and, more importantly, representing the views of our members during any meetings. We will be clear with the Club where we disagree with any approach that is not in line with those views, and we will continue to highlight the impact on supporters of the rise in this season’s match day prices.
The focus of our work will always be to promote the best interests of our membership and Spurs fans in general, and so we believe we are far better placed by being involved in such a process than not.
Before our game with Fulham on Monday October 23, we are planning to meet our colleagues from Fulham Supporters’ Trust to show solidarity and support them in their fight against their club following season ticket price increases to as much as £3,000.
We will be meeting in the Antwerp Arms before the game and would invite any supporters who would like to support our ticketing campaign to meet us there. More details will follow shortly.
Throughout our ticketing campaign we have received support from a number of ‘rival’ supporters’ groups. Together football fans are stronger, so we look forward to discussing the finer points of our campaign and theirs before the game.
We would like to thank all of our members and fellow fans who have supported us so far in this campaign. We hope we can count on your continued support on this important issue in the future.
