Based at The Maurice Rebak Stadium (previously known as the Harry Abrahams Stadium) on Summers Lane in Finchley, N12, The Blues are widely regarded as a fantastic family club, with the best playing surface in the division, a committed group of players boasting a mix of youth and experience, as well as a newly renovated bar and hospitality facilities. The ground has a capacity of 1,500 and, with an average gate of 150 last season, they’re keen to encourage more fans to come and support a local club competing against much bigger, wealthier teams on a regular basis.
Commenting on the partnership with THST, Wingate and Finchley Chairman, Aron Sharpe, said “It gives me a huge amount of personal pleasure to create this initiative between THST and Wingate and Finchley FC. Having been a supporter of Spurs, attending my first match at eight years old, walking to the games on my own from my grandparents’ home at Page Green Terrace, Tottenham High Road whenever I could to becoming an associates schoolboy with the club. There is no other trust that I would rather work with.
Wingate and Finchley welcome all Spurs fans and we hope that when you are not at the Lane, you will be at our Lane (Summers Lane). We look forward to seeing you all over the course of the season, and beyond.”
The Blues’ pre-season sees them take on St Albans City at home on Tuesday 24 July and Enfield Borough at home on Tuesday 7 August – both 7.45pm kick offs – and you can be sure of a very warm welcome from all at the Club.
More information on Wingate and Finchley can be found on their website and you can follow them on social media at:
